Emily Haines Announces Solo EP, Metric News
Hot off the Pitchfork presses, Emily Haines announces her gameplan for a good part of 2007 (song included!) She's keeping busy with a solo EP containing Knives outtakes called What is Free to a Good Home, a new Metric full length, and a slew of Canadian and European tour dates. With Knives Don't Have Your Back one of my favorite records of last year (thanks Steve!), I couldn't be more thrilled to hear about this EP. The song Pitchfork decided to stream is called "Rowboat" and seems to be more of the same stylings.

glad you dig haines. when Metric and DFA came together to form LastGangRecords it was almost better than when those two planets aligned and made that bigass star way back when. you know, jesus?
