Coming Attractions: Casiotone for the Painfully Alone

Owen Ashworth rolls into town next week with his one-man outfit, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. A film-school dropout, Ashworth has been releasing music since 1997 in lieu of filmmaking and has steadily been garnering attention - he's shared the stage with bands like Xiu Xiu, The Rapture, etc. etc. He's slated to play the Echo Thursday, June 14th with Ladybug Transistor and Papercuts. For some catchy mid-tempo electronic pop, listen to this song, "Young Shields," the first single off the 2006 Tomlab release Etiquette.
